Design Engineer
 

A number of opportunities exist with our client for experienced Design Engineers, with a detailed knowledge of automotive and heavy truck design, and who have the ability to take projects from the conception stage through to manufacturing.

Suitable candidates will be experienced in Engineering Design Analysis, Project Management, and literate in 3D-CAD, and will preferably hold a primary and or higher degree in engineering or a physical science.

Additional experience in any of the following, though not essential, would be a distinct advantage.

• 3-D Solid Modelling (Solidworks or Similar)
• Finite Element Analysis (ANSYS or Similar)
• Materials Science/Failure Analysis/Fatigue Analysis
• Vehicle Multi-body Dynamic Modelling (LMS Virtual.lab or similar)
• Control System development in Matlab/Simulink
• Software development in Microsoft Visual Basic and/or Java
• Gear and Gear Box Design
• Technical report writing

Candidates should be capable of working unsupervised as well as in a team environment. The successful candidate will be based in the engineering office, reporting to the engineering manager.
