Basic Grade Clinical Psychologist
We currently have a requirement for a Basic Grade Clinical Psychologist for a position based in Meath working with children from 0-6 years with physical and learning disabilities.
Our client is a well known organization with a nationwide presence, the core of their work leans toward children with physical disabilities along with a wide range of intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities and other developmental disorders.
In order to be considered for this role candidates must have a
a) A recognised university degree or diploma obtained with first or second class honours in which Psychology was taken as a major subject and honours obtained in that subject.
b) Hold a recognised post-graduate qualification in Clinical Psychology, as recognised by the Psychological Society of Ireland.
c) Applicants who qualified outside of the Republic of Ireland must already have their qualifications validated by the Department of Health and Children and the Psychological Society of Ireland.
d) At least one years relevant professional experience inclusive of any time spent in post-graduate training.
e) Extensive experience working with children with developmental difficulties.
Desirable:
• Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.
• Display competency in report writing.
• Demonstrate a clear understanding of the role of the Clinical Psychologist in the field of disability.
• Demonstrate effective professional and ethical standards of practice in line with the Psychological Society of Ireland.
