Medium size, full mechanical contractor for plumbing and heating
Location: Calgary, Alberta
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Read blueprints. Install plumbing piping systems and fixtures. Install natural gas piping systems and equipment. Install hydronic heating piping systems and equipment. Install, repair and maintain domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems. Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors. Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings. Measure, cut, bend and thread pipes using hand and power tools or machines. Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges. May restore, clean or paint existing masonry structures.
REQUIREMENTS:
Plumber Trade Certificate. Minimum 7 years experience as a Plumber. Candidates MUST be able to pass the Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training (AAIT) Certificate Equivalency before arrival and AAIT exam within 6 months of arriving.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Fluency in English is mandatory in order to pass the AAIT exam
40/hours per week.
Salary range: $28-$30/hr based on qualifications and experience.
