Our client is a quality focused translation and interpreting business with a solid reputation in the Irish market. Due to recent expansion and growth, they are currently looking for experienced and/or qualified interpreters in any language across County Cork. You will be required to work on a range of community, corporate, medical and legal assignments.
Key Responsibilities
• To interpret between English and any other language in the local area in which you live
• You will have interaction with key clients and will be working on a range of assignments
• To demonstrate attention to detail and excellent grammatical and vocabulary knowledge
• You must work to the clients deadlines and service levels using your experience in interpreting
Skills and Requirements
• Either a qualification in Interpreting and/or Interpreting experience of at least 6 months is required
• Successful candidates need to demonstrate absolute fluency in written and spoken English and at least one other language (all languages considered)
• Ability to meet deadlines and pay attention to detail is essential
• A keen eye for detail to understand what is communicated in both languages with the ability to express thoughts and ideas clearly
• Strong research and analytical skills, mental dexterity, and an exceptional memory are important
• Physical presence required for some work which means travel to the location where the services are needed
• Assignments may not fall within the normal hours of 9am-5pm so you must be willing to be flexible
