This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established retailer as Quality Control and Logistics Coordinator. You will be the key point of contact for suppliers in Italy, placing orders and liasing with manufacturers to ensure timely and accurate delivery in relation to customer orders. You will deliver professional, high quality customer service by ensuring business growth, loyalty and customer satisfaction. This will be delivered by ensuring that sufficient stock is held to meet the reasonable demands of customers that do business with the Cork office, and that customer's needs are put first in the approach to advice, selling and processing of orders.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning, control and documentation of quality control activities on site
- Supervision of activities of all quality personnel on site
- Liaising with production/warehouse and Quality Assurance with regard to day to day quality control support requirements
- Management of stocks of laboratory consumables and spare parts to optimise utilisation of the department budget and minimise unplanned down time.
- Contributing to implementation of safe work practices and an accident free work place.
- Ensuring that all laboratory equipment is maintained properly and is suitable for use.
- Trending and review of quality control results in accordance with process validation needs.
- Ensure on-time delivery to clients while liasing with freight companies
- Process sales order and co-ordinate shipments
- Issue documentation to the warehouse team and maintain computer records and stock levels
- Management of the stock by preparing stock requisitions, checking and reconciling deliveries
- Managing the packing of orders to deliver and providing van stock as and when required
- Processing of paper work in accordance with company procedure
- Operating the computer system in accordance with company procedure
- Cashing up and reconciling payments at the close of business each day
Required Skills
- The successful candidate will be educated to degree level
- Minimum of 4-5 years previous experience within a Quality Control function
- Previous experience in a supervisory/management position
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work on own initiative but also in a team
- Computer literate, excellent admin skills, time keeping and organisational skills
- Highly customer service focused with the ability to respond to customers needs quickly and to work fast in a busy environment with a view to continuous improvement
- Responsible and hard-working with attention to detail and a focus on results
- Ability to work accurately and handle pressure well, good analysis and judgement
- Able to resolve any problems effectively, highly motivated with energetic personality
- Fluency in English and Italian is essential
