A Radiologist who has experience in plain film reporting, CT and MRI is sought to join an experienced team of radiologists and will be working in a varied and fast-paced environment. An interest in learning and continuous professional development is essential for the role involves working in an environment where there is a culture of professional growth and development and the post-holder will also be expected to participate in the training schemes.
Responsibilities:
Delivering a high standard of Radiology services.
Working with medical personnel and also in conjunction with families and friends of the clients.
Assisting families and friends of clients with relevant information, where applicable.
To participate in the on-call Rota.
To participate in services relevant to his/her department in line with future service developments in the hospital.
To provide, if required, lectures to the multidisciplinary professionals and the public.
To participate in a system of professional practice review (including medical audit and multi discipline quality assurance) and to support the maintenance of service quality and standards while preserving the Doctor/Patient confidentiality. This includes the implementation of Quality Assurance Guidelines.
To identify and participate in Health and Safety requirements for the Departments and to devise protocols for safe and high standards of practice.
To participate in structured arrangements for the determination of resource provision and utilisation including service planning and evaluation and performance reviews.
To provide, maintain and verify all relevant information required and to formulate accurate inputs to service planning and the review of service performance. This is to include the implementation of data sheets/data items in the IT system and reports.
To negotiate and agree with the employer a schedule of commitment that is consistent with the optimum use of available resources and facilities while taking account of colleagues schedule of commitments.
Requirements:
Relevant Radiological qualification
Must work on own initiative and as part of a varied team.
A desire to work in a challenging environment.
General Medical Council Accreditation is essential (GMC).
