BJIEBM/COL/111208/01 -- A Physiotherapist who has experience in a women’s health/maternity setting is sought to join a multidisciplinary and work in this specialised Unit. While experience is very important, so too is passion and enthusiasm in this area of Physiotherapy.This hospital aims to provide the finest healthcare services to their patients through the use of state-of-the-art technology and innovation.
Responsibilities:
• To provide a clinical service to the designated client group including continence, gynaecology and ante and post natal care.
• Ensure that professional standards of practice are adhered to, in the assessment, treatment and management of patients within his/her assigned area.
• To ensure timely communication and collaboration with the relevant members of the multi-disciplinary team, in relation to the provision of the physiotherapy service and to attend and contribute to clinics and multi-disciplinary team meetings.
• To keep abreast of research and practice developments in relevant clinical areas including involvement in the professional body and clinical interest group
• To advise the Physiotherapy Manager of the needs of the service and to contribute to forward planning and development of policies within the department.
• Where appropriate, to introduce changes in work practices and procedures in the light of ‘best practice’ developments in the field of physiotherapy.
• To serve on and advise such committees as may be set up within the service.
Requirements:
• B.Sc. (Hons.) degree in Physiotherapy
• Validation with the Department of Health and Children if necessary.
• Ideally have some experience in women’s health.
