Our client is one of the leading hotels they currently have a requirement for a Sales & Marketing Manager based in the Midlands.
Responsibilities
Have proven man management skills in Sales with the ability to coach less experienced staff, delegate and monitor and appraise performance in an office type environment.
Have a strong focus on internal & external customers and have the ability to penetrate the local business arena and raise the profile of the hotel through face to face interaction
Possess excellent communication skills enabling strong relationship development in the market place, locally and nationally.
Develop strong relationships with journalists to ensure that the hotel receives Media coverage through Newspapers, Radio and television
Exploit fully his/her marketing experience ensuring effective communication of the brand in a highly competitive market place
Develop new relationships not just via the Sales Database, but using his/her influential personality, establish incremental business contacts and PR contacts through working cleverly and diligently on the ground with the General Manager.
Develop a collaborative relationship with internal functions such as Reservations, Reception, Accounts & all operational departments.
Consistently monitor incoming and projected revenue and ensure marketing spend is carried out in the most economical fashion.
Have the ability to implement change when required and ensure that this is completed and analysed for effectiveness thereafter.
Be a self starter with exceptional organisational & IT skills
Requirements
A Sales & Marketing qualification is desirable
A good knowledge of the Hotel Industry would be advantageous
