Description.
Marketing Executive to work on marketing, advertising and promotional programmes central to the business. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with 2-3 years experience in a marketing role within the travel industry to develop their skills in a the cutting edge travel environment of online travel and to develop working relationships with a wide range of figures from both the travel and media sectors.
Purpose of the Role.
· Manage partner marketing programme - client liaison, campaign fulfilment, follow-up services.
· Day-to-day management of advertising and promotion including print, outdoor, radio, TV, competitions and PR.
· Contribute to the ongoing development of partner marketing programme and publisher & corporate online affiliate products
Main Responsibilities.
· Account manage existing partner marketing clients and pro-actively sell partner marketing solutions to new clients when opportunities arise
· Liaison with and management of media owners, design agency, PR agency, research agency and any other vendors engages with to fulfil advertising and promotion.
· Proactively sell affiliate products and develop new affiliate partnerships with publisher and corporate clients
· Maintain and develop relationships with existing affiliate clients
· Ownership of the relationship with 3rd party affiliate engine and proficiency in it's technical workings.
Context and Environment.
· Largely office-based but with frequent phone contact.
· Marketing, technical and sales training will be given as required.
Essential Skills &/or Experience.
· Minimum of 2 years' marketing experience in the travel industry.
· A good understanding of the advertising, marketing and promotions industry.
· Excellent communications skills.
· Confident in dealing with new clients face-to-face and over the telephone.
· Passion for travel and the travel business.
· An interest in the internet and technical solutions related to the online travel industry.
Desirable Skills &/or Experience.
· Degree or 3rd level qualification in travel or marketing.
· Technical qualifications or experience related to web marketing and / or e-commerce.
Package.
· €25,000 - €30,000 depending on experience.
· Secondary benefits include VHI (Plan B), annual travel ticket scheme.
Candidates with Travel/Tourism courses i.e. do not have minimum 3-6 months fulltime work experience in a Travel Agency - need NOT apply.
