DRH Holsted trains volunteers to go and work in Africa and do Development Aid on a ground level, from people to people. Together with the organisation Humana People to People, with whom we host this program, we call our volunteer by the name Development Instructor.
A Development Instructor is someone who has taken a stand to the situation in the world. He is ready to fight poverty and in general the unequal distribution of wealth in the world.
The program of a DI consists of 6 months training at DRH Holsted, 6 months working at one of the projects of Humana in Mozambique, Zambia, Namibia or Malawi. The projects include, child aid, teaching children and adults, teaching teachers, supporting and leading preschools, leading the fight against the AIDS epidemic and help people with HIV to continue their lives.
